Wire Park

Wire Park is the creative reimagination of what was an economic anchor of Watkinsville for more than 50 years. It aims to revitalize this great corridor through the redevelopment of the Southwire industrial park, transforming it into a vibrant mixed-use development that better serves and supports the community. The vision for the site is the result of a two-day collaborative session hosted by Gibbs Capital and attended by Watkinsville citizens, local stakeholders and community leaders. Wire Park will breathe new life into this former wire manufacturing building, creating a revitalized space for the community to gather through a mixture of residential, retail and office spaces, while also conserving greenspace and creating common areas open to all. Wire Park builds on the rich history and character of a longtime economic anchor for the community of Watkinsville, Georgia - the Southwire manufacturing plant. It’s a place for people to gather and enjoy a multitude of amenities. Wire Park’s footprint spans more than 60 acres, encompassing a revitalized industrial site complete with curated shops and restaurants, public park, creative workspaces, residential homes and condos, and pristine woodlands.
